Absolutely Fantastic Brunch Spot! I had such a great meal here. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, perfect for a weekend brunch with family. I ordered the mushroom omelet with crispy breakfast potatoes and toast, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The potatoes were golden and perfectly seasoned, and the omelet was packed with mushrooms and herbs, with just the right amount of cheese. I also tried their iced coffee, which was rich, smooth, and hit the spot on a warm day. You can tell they care about the little details, from the house-made jam to the fluffy pancakes that my kid loved (he devoured them in minutes). The presentation was beautiful, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. Service was fast and everyone was super friendly. We also tried the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had, with a perfectly poached egg and tangy hollandaise. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious brunch in a casual setting. Can’t wait to come back! Let me know if you want it shorter or even more specific!
While visiting the area for a wedding, we had breakfast two days in a row. Good was great and service with a smile.
It was a wonderful to meet the owner and his care for the flowers. Definitely a place to come for breakfast or lunch. Cute menu. Gotta check it out.
We had the best Fathersday breakfast ever! Without reservation, the friendly stuff did their best to accommodate us, party of 7. The service was excellent and friendly, they being able to customize plates for our kids. The capuccino and Bloody Mary are excellent and the breakfast dishes very tasty. We can recommend short rib scramble, lemon pancakes and French toast. Definitely will be back once coming this way! Thank you!
Was taken here for Fathers Day and I can’t wait until next year. We were sat in the middle of the patio in perfect weather. Perfectly crowded without being overly chaotic. Atmosphere and the eclectic nature of the patio, especially with the dogs, was very comforting. The food presentation was all we needed to taste it, and to eat it was a pure mouth-gasm. A short walk from Amtrak after leaving Fullerton. A great day with family. We will be back
We popped in to Sunny Side on a Sunday for brunch after a great beach morning. We were seated immediately on the shaded patio. They took such amazing care of us, even with 2 young kids in high chairs. Food came quickly but was still 10/10. We had the chilaquiles & strawberry French toast - highly recommend them both. It was gone before I could take a photo! We will be back & will have to check out the other restaurants in the family!
Visiting home from Los Angeles for Thanksgiving break and even though I went to high school in Solana Beach, this is my first time visiting Sunny Side. It’s located right on the 101 on the west side of the street and there is ample parking all around which is a nice change for me. Our server was very polite and all of our items came out very quickly. They have a lot of outdoor seating, but we chose to sit indoors for our meal. I’m giving it a four out of five because everything was good but not great. They have a fairly small menu, but it does have a lot of great options on it. For my first visit, I chose the Short Rib Benedict and thought it had some good flavors but the short ribs were lukewarm and wish they would have been a bit crispy or hotter. I get this often back up in LA and this version wasn’t as good as some that I’ve had recently. I would say it’s a great spot to eat and we didn’t have to wait at all for our Saturday morning brunch so I would suggest if you are in the area and I plan to give it another try again sometime soon because my family lives close by.
We came in for Sunday Brunch, no wait. Street parking. We ordered the cheddar scrambled bowl, biased ribs Benedict, and burrito. Grapefruit mimosa and Mocha Pistachio latte were delicious. We loved the vibe in here, so cute. We will absolutely be back when we came to Solana beach again.
